Canakins is Simply English's 5th recording, and celebrates our 10th anniversary. The band, originally a duo, was formed to dispel the illusion that the Celts have all the good music and the English have all the good umbrellas. Ten years on, while still committed to performing English vernacular music, the band - now a trio - is also much more concerned with finding new ways to interpret the songs that we perform.

All tracks arranged by Simply English except Nutmegs and Ginger, arr. Rouse.
Andy Rouse: solo vocals, recorders, glockenspiel, 'beer-can maraca'
Bulcsú Babarci: guitar, bass guitar, vocals
Tamás Zajzon: mandolin, whistles, vocals
with
Szabolcs Balásy: piano
Tamás Rozs: cello
Tamás Vámosi: snare drum, bodhrán, tambourine
